Memories & stories

  • Memories

Wee Tom. No matter how I was feeling he would always make me laugh. He was my work-mate, my team-mate, my pal, my Best Man, my Brother. He was the bravest man I've ever known. One night over a few beers we were talking about the meaning of life (like you do) and he says to me , "memories big man , it's all about making memories ". He sure succeeded ,he's left us all with so many wonderful memories that we were so fortunate to share with him . You will always be with us wee man .

    - Alex

  • When we think of Uncle Tom we think of his smile. He had a smile that would lighten the room and a great sense of humour.

  • My Dad

My Dad is my best friend. He knew me better than I know myself and always knew exactly the right thing to say in any situation.

He was rational and wise and gave the best advice. But equally, he could be like a big kid and just joke the day away. No Marvel movie or cinema trip will be the same without him.

He literally did everything for me and solved all of my problems in a heartbeat. I’m so blessed to say he’s my Dad. But even more blessed to have him as my children’s Papi.

  • My Uncle Tom

One of my best memories of Uncle Tom was the night we discovered our shared love of Pulp Fiction. Standing in Hamilton Street at the end of the night reciting the full script - poor Auntie Diane just wanted a taxi home! I'm sure Uncle Tom's words were 'be cool Honey Bunny - be cool' 😂 All my memories of Uncle Tom include laughter - it's his laugh I hear when I think of him. I'll miss you forever Uncle Tom 💙

  • Stories always made me laugh 😅

Loved the way he would tell a story, being in fits laughter for him to ask what I was laughing at!!

    Miss him loads 😢

  • My Beloved Son

  • 'Just the One'

  • My Wee Brother

So much to be said about Tom but to sum up for me he was always there for me, he made me laugh he was my m8 he was my wee brother He Truly Was the Best of Us and I was privileged to have the time we had together.

  • LEGEND XXX

Honestly have far too many memorable memories with my best mate that there's not enough space to share them plus a few you probably wouldn't believe anyway lol . Never tired of being in his company or when we went out with the lassies wether it was our tours of France , Spain , Vegas , Liverpool or London or just a beer with my mate you knew it was always going to be interesting . Still hear his customary war cry as the day went on .. "GET IT DOON YEE " !

  • Aria’s Favourite Things About Papi

“Papi gave the best cuddles and he knew all the jokes. He called me “Wee Snookie-Dooks” and called Anya “Wee Side Shed.”

“When I gave him cuddles and told him his beard was jaggy he would always go and shave it for me.”

“He always watched movies with me and we would shout “Hook Hook Hook!” at Captain Hook.”

“Papi loved the soft play, remember he would always take me when you were at work Mum? He always came on the slide with me and bought me bubblegum ice cream.”

    - Aria

  • Aria’s First Halloween

When Aria dressed up as Minnie Mouse for her first Halloween and my Dad insisted he had to dress up too (in his full blown Centurion outfit) and came out in public and to Charlie’s work - where no one else was dressed up! But “come on, it’s the wee yin’s first Halloween!!”
